Time is Ticking

image The greatest discovery ever known Hey learners, This is the part-28 of our series, hoping that the day was better than just “good”. We have a few topics to discuss as always, let’s start.

  • Transfer agent authentication It is a sequential process where a set of people (whom we call as transfer agents) keeps a record financial logs, security funds and employee banking details. The authentication is here to add the top most layer for many security reasons, after the user is authenticated he/she can access the authorization field to check the details. people in this department are easy to exploit, many companies overlook these small details. Attackers can claim the ownership of many confidential documents, court hearings and compliance measures. I can say that each an every part plays an integral role in protecting the company.
  1. RF Shielding Radio-Frequency shielding is a popular yet least used methods to secure cards, or any information containing sensitive information. RF shielding works by adding physical layers which protects the contents of the card. RFID cloning has been going on since a lot of years, this is done mostly to clone credit cards, electric chip sets and physical remotes.
  2. File Content Analysis As the name suggests, files are analyzed for their quality and health to minimize their exposure to bad transfer gateways or plausible corruption vectors. This is done as a part of the system’s regular checkup. A file can be viewed in a lot of ways, these extensions and file types are divided and categorized into their correct places. The analyzer can use an automated tool’s help or build a new one on their own to support multiple scans in a single time.
  3. URL analysis We swift through hundreds of URLs in our daily busy life, but we often forget to see the legitimacy of them leading us to fall for IP loggers, phishing attempts or information gathering. You may have thought “this url seems sketchy! I won’t open it.” To your surprise, even many affiliate links can be found everywhere, we never know which page it will redirect/land us on, It’s annoying that many companies use these services to look more “professional” but these are just some open gateways for attackers to use in social engineering plays. There are a lot of ways we can analyze the data inside that link, for example we can use Virus-total URL scan, just paste the link in there to see its content.
  4. Sender Reputation Analysis Just like URL analysis, sender reputation must be checked to prevent accidental data exposure. We don’t have to think much about this one because the details are received from a legit source, not from the people you don’t know. So, they can be trusted. Make sure to be vary of what you are sharing and how you are sharing, It may effect one’s company and can even lead to network compromise. Never let the attackers know your move. That’s that for today, I really think that I’m getting good at this. Well may not be perfect but still. I’ll see you tomorrow.
